6-week Plantbased Weightloss

Why is this important? Because weightloss is actually NOT the goal. Wellness is. Health is. Weightloss typically follows health and wellness. Besides losing excess fat, I want you to know what it feels like to have energy throughout the day, and a clear head. Or to have a good night’s rest, and to feel more positive in a world that’s all doom and gloom. In this programme my “job” is to keep you away (for at least 6 weeks) from refined sugars and starches and processed foods (including processed plantbased foods) and to let the super powers of REAL plants do all the heavy lifting. 

This programme follows the fundamental guidelines of Dr Greger’s “Daily Dozen” and although I cannot guarantee how many kg’s you will be losing in just 6 weeks, I know you will lose cm’s. On top of that you will start to notice all the other benefits that come with wholefoods plantbased eating: an improved digestive system, a more balanced mood, more vitality and energy, and glowing skin, just to name a few.

Who is Dr Greger?

NutritionFacts.org is a science-based non-profit organization founded by Michael Greger, M.D. FACLM, that provides free updates on the latest in nutrition research via bite-sized videos with captions offered in multiple languages, blogs, and infographics. They are a strictly non-commercial public service health charity. Nearly 2,000 videos on virtually every aspect of healthy eating are already available online, and new videos and blogs are uploaded every day. They also disseminate fact-based information through social media on the benefits of a whole food, plant-based diet for wellness, disease prevention, healthy weight management, and longevity, as well as maintain a Spanish-language site and operate several Chinese platforms.

Everything on the NutritionFacts.org website is free. There are no ads. There are no corporate sponsorships. To remain free of conflicts of interest, we chose to adopt a Wikipedia-type model where users make donations to support the public service we provide. NutritionFacts.org is a labour of love—a tribute to Dr. Greger’s grandmother whose own life was saved by improving her diet.

Dr. Greger is a physician, New York Times bestselling author, and internationally recognized speaker on nutrition, food safety, and public health issues. A founding member and Fellow of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Greger is licensed as a general practitioner specializing in clinical nutrition. He is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Agriculture and Tufts University School of Medicine. In 2017, Dr. Greger was honoured with the ACLM Lifestyle Medicine Trailblazer Award and became a diplomat of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.

His books How Not to Die, The How Not to Die Cookbook, and How Not to Diet became instant New York Times best-sellers, and his two latest books, How to Survive a Pandemic and The How Not to Diet Cookbook, were published in 2020 with much acclaim. So with all this information available online, why do you need me?

Because if you already knew HOW to lose weight sustainably and healthily, you would have already done so. My job is to help you navigate your own personal obstacles and develop the lifestyle changes as well as plantbased eating habits that work for YOU long-term. Everyone has a unique set of circumstances and past experiences, a different budget and time available for meal preparations. Together we will explore these and get you on track. Over the course of 6 weeks you will experience the impact of following an easy yet nutritious routine around food, and develop a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.

Please note that the Plantbased Weightloss Programme is open to anyone – vegans, vegetarians, flexitarians, omnivores and carnivores, it doesn’t matter where you are in your own personal health journey. All I ask of you is to be open to learn, and to commit to your own personal (plantbased) goals. I, as your coach, am committed to facilitate the process of helping you reach YOUR goals, and not to push any agenda of my own.

What does the Plantbased Weightloss Programme give you?

The complete programme takes place over 6 weeks, and each week builds upon the previous week’s feedback. What worked and what didn’t? What needs tweaking and what a complete overhaul? The aim is always to move you forward towards your vision. The first week I’d like you to keep a food diary, so that I know where you’re at and we can introduce plantbased meals accordingly. Every week I email you information on plantbased nutrition, you receive a handy Plantbased Health Kit, we talk about what physical responses you can expect, and of course easy recipes that fit your lifestyle and circumstances.

The coaching is done online (Whatsapp, Zoom, Google Meet) for a total of 9 coaching hours (1,5 hours per session), and at the end of the programme you receive a reward for your unwavering commitment!
